OK I'll go first! There isn't really anything special but I love them just the same! What attention to detail they had.

I know I've got some off-paper seals but it will take me awhile to find them. Here are several that are on cover. 1944: Scott WX118 tied on cover with Scott C26 postmarked Portland, Oregon on November 30. 1947: Scott WX135 on the back of a cover bearing Scott 948a postmarked Houston, Texas on December 10 ] 1957: Two Scott WX186 and a Boys Town on the back of a cover bearing Scott 1090 postmarked Santa Claus, Indiana on December 12.

Nice seals! I've got several pages of the things. I've come to love them. Here are two Christmas postcards with seals. 1912 from Niagara Falls NY to Berlin (Kitchener) Ont. (front and back) and 1923 from Orchard Park NY to Port Colbourne Ont. (just the one side)

Scott lists three variations of the seal issued in 1940, with each being differentiated by their perforations; Scottt WX100, perf. 12.5X12; Scott WX101, perf. 12.5X13; and, Scott WX103, perf. 12.5. Here is a partial sheet of Scott WX103:

Beginning in 1979 there was no longer one national issue; consequently, Scott does not list Christmas seals issued in 1980 or later. Here is a sheet produced by the American Lung Association for 1994.

I saw Danish Christmas Seals and European Christmas (and other) Seals but not US. If I missed a thread, feel free to move this. Here is another of my flea market postcards:

The Poinsettia Flower on the card above is the "Star of Bethlehem" or Christmas flower
The star-shaped leaf pattern is said to symbolize the Star of Bethlehem, and the red color represents the blood sacrifice through the crucifixion of Jesus. In Spain and Puerto Rico it is known as "Flor de Pascua", meaning "Easter flower". In both Chile and Peru, the plant became known as "Crown of the Andes".

I.L.S., a man after my own heart. The first thing I noticed above all else is that he puts ALL examples in his collection ! Perfs all round, Straight edge left, SE right, SE top etc etc. Good on yer ! To celebrate here is a seal shown previously by Zuzu on her beautiful embossed New Year postcard. The difference is, my stamp is standing up while those on the postcard are both being lazy !!

I have my share of Xmas seals, but I really like them when they are tied to covers or cards. Here's a couple. 1924 Not the standard Xmas seal I see in the Scott cat. Card is dated 1909.

Very nice Postcards ! Sadly, I don't think I have any USA seals on cover or card. A few singles/blocks is all I can muster. I'll check out some more tomorrow. Londonbus1

I was doing up some pages with covers tonight (after a hard day of Xmas shopping with the missus - already had a nap in the big chair!) when I came across this innocuous looking cover from 1931. Turned it over to find a lovely little Christmas seal on the back flap. Since it's the season, thought I'd share.

Not necessarily a Christmas seal, but definitely a TB seal from Sussex County NJ, USA This is a sheet of 48, but sadly the two left rows are folded back and stuck to the two adjacent rows. A night in the freezer didn't help. And a single. This is the flag of Sussex County, though I think it's normally blue.

It has been a long time since this thread saw the light of day...come back to us Zuzu ! This is the only Christmas seal received on this year's holiday mail. Note the shifted frame line near the bottom -- has anyone else seen one with a frame line shift like this?

I had the occasion to revisit the above seal when a second graced my mailbox. As luck would have it, the frame line issue was not a product of the printing process but rather an aberration created in the scanning process. Here is the seal as it actually appears, along with the recent arrival.

Mick 's recent post on the postmark calendar thread reminded me that I had planned on posting these the day I received them. They are the only 2017 U.S. seals that I've received so far and are probably going to be the only ones. Their use seems to have fallen out of favor and I'm not sure why. Sadly, these weren't tied to the cover that they had been placed on. For those in the U.S. who may be interested in raising awareness of lung health, you can sign up to receive 2018 seals here.

Steve ( tomiseksj), many thanks for reviving this thread. I also had not found it before, and like others in the past, I must have been looking in the wrong place. I was going to post the scans of this postcard in the Postmark Calendar thread for 23rd December, but it is the only such card that I have which has a Christmas seal on it, which is also tied to the card, so perhaps this U.S. Christmas seal thread is a better place.

Here is a block of 1944 Christmas Seals, featuring a jolly mailman. Snow is not staying this courier from the swift completion of his appointed rounds!

This American Turners Christmas seal was in that lot of Texas poster stamps I bought last year. I found a full sheet of a smaller Turners seal on eBay, but nothing on this particular item:

What I collect: I collect world wide up to 1965 with several specialty albums added due to volume of material I have acquired. At this point I am focused on Canada and British America. I am always on the lookout for stamps and covers with postmarks from communities in Queens County, Nova Scotia. I do list various goods including stamps occasionally on eBay as hdm50

Found this se-tenant pair in a stock book of odds and ends today. They are 1967 Christmas Seals from Lutheran Wheat Ridge of Colorado. It would appear the proceeds are for international relief.
