My bird stamp icon (at left) was in the competition for that mental health stamp. I came about 43rd out of over 300 entries. A second entry of mine was down in the 60th or so position. I never realised that James Bravo!, 43rd is some achievement.

That Lyre Bird video floored me! I am dumbstruck at it's ability to mimic just about anything! Particularly the cameras and chainsaw..It sounded spot on! Thank you for showing me that! I gotta show that to my daughter! She'll love it!

You are welcome to the sticker Froggie, take care, there are not many collectors who save this type of ephemera, it will be rare in 50 years, if not already. They come from the 1999 "small pond " emmissions. I have the bookmark, but it could be anywhere, probably boxed up in the attic. If I come across it, I'll forward it on The bookmark.

Australia 2008 "Heavy Haulers" Can anyone offer a Scott number sequence please? Hi, Rod! The sheet stamps are Scott 2839-2843 (horiz strip/5: 2843a) The booklet stamps are 2844-2848 (booklet pane/20: 2848a) The coil stamps are 2849-2853 (vert strip/5: 2853a) The 2014 cat vals are $1.10 mnh per stamp (no premium for strips, but small discount for booklet pane: $22.00). The used cat vals are $1.10/ea for the sheet stamps, and $0.60/ea for the coil and booklet stamps. Hope that's helpful! (What a lot of formats!)

Many thanks Dave,
"What a lot of formats" = The reason a lot of collectors have abandoned Australia (new issue orders) it smacks of milking orders.
Your advice saved. Thanks.

Tom Kruse Mailman from the film 1954 "Back of Beyond" Ford or Chev "Blitz" truck CMP (Canadian Military Pattern) My Guess wiki Esmond Gerald (Tom) Kruse MBE (28 August 1914 – 30 June 2011) was a former mail carrier on the Birdsville Track in the border area between South Australia and Queensland. He became known as the result of John Heyer's 1954 film The Back of Beyond, and in the year after the film's release, in the 1955 New Year Honours, Kruse was appointed Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) for "services to the community in the outback".

Sprung! ? The 1970 Christmas stamp, supposedly an "original" design by Beasley. Lets plonk an Albrect Durer painting alongside, what do you think?

Durer as a muse for another painter.......... 5 self portraits Rockwell, Durer, Rembrandt, Picasso (guess), and Van Gogh. Rockwell always includes subtle humour. Look at the wisp of smoke from rubbish bin, and the matches that has lit his pipe. Pregnant with suspense...will it catch fire? Does it link to the Fireman's Helmet?
