I really don't collect any World Wide stuff other than Germany but Rod had these beautiful and very interesting stamps from Central Lithuania and I just had to have them! Can anyone tell me anything about them? Also, maybe there a good philatelic related site specific to Central Lithuania? Any insight would be just great! Thank you much. Central Lithuanian- a short-lived Poland-dependent puppet state created in 1920 in the Vilnius Region (that's realy the extent of my knowledge on the subject.)

Now is that the same as the Republic of Central Lithuania? I just want to get the correct information.

Wiki is always a good place to start Jeff, albeit, it is a bit long winded. To summarise, I use this post of 2003 BTW: Your post should really reside in the sub board of Central Lithuania.

Your right. (I actually thought it was in the right spot?) The confusion started over a Linn's column on the plebiscite issues for Upper Silesia. I think I got it all hammered out now. Is this still in the wrong spot Rod?
I did start in Wikipedia originally but then got side tracked..long winded is being nice! ha-ha!

Is Russia under "Europe other"? If you want to start a Russia thread please do so under Europe Other. Once we have a few threads we'll activate the Russia sub-forum and move those posts into it.

I had to google it too after I purchased the first series of Central Lithuania which have the heraldry motif with swords...my area of interest.

Here's some info on the stamps at this link - I also like to use the Foreign Stamp Identifier - I actually found it under Poland since it was under Polish leadership when it began to issue stamps.
