To follow on from Ryan's advice Morse Code on Canadian Stamp. Printed Matter / Slogan cancels. If any member has knowledge of Triangular 586 Telegraphic Code, I would be very appreciative. Esp Codes (Numeric) List (I have Alpha) Also the second example down perplexes me. Very Light Manila Paper. Fully Gummed ? I can only think this is a gummed label that was perhaps premade to stick to circulars (but why the 2.5d rate?) otherwise how come, the gum?

Some possibilities Rod for which office(s) correspond to #586. Put these together from diff. sources so not sure if any of them are correct.
Great Britain
586 = BOWNESS, (in Westmorland)
586 = Stapleford, Notts.
586 = Orpington, (SE)
Scotland
586 = Urray, Ross.

Thanks Rick creates more queries than it solves The number shown (586) apparently is inline with obliterators in use until 1906 One "proof" example I have is "871" = Weston Super mare. How does that compare to your records? We can dismiss Scotland, In the Triangulars Scotland and Ireland had a prefix "S" and "I" respectively within the triangle. Update: Ah Yes, found the list you are coming from.............. Indeed, I go for Stapleford or Bowness. Weston Super-Mare is correct. Cheers.
