tomiseksjGreat Post Steve. That is all the stamps of the Sterling currency for Ross Dep. Note: the 8d exists in Bright carmine red and blue (worth 3 x the red and ultramarine) HMS Erebus (Named after the dark regions of Hades in Greek mythology) 2014 HMS Erebus discovered in Canada wiki On 1 October 2014 the Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper stated that the remains were that of Erebus. The recovery of the ship's bell was announced on 6 November 2014.[13] PS: Nothing in Gibbons regarding the scratch yours seem to have in Shackleton's hair, possibly an EFO (error ,freak, or oddity) I wonder............... would the Erebus, for the Franklin Expedition, make the Thematic : Trains on stamps? Both the "Terror" and the "Erebus" were fitted with steam engines from Railway Locomotives

...PS: Nothing in Gibbons regarding the scratch yours seem to have in Shackleton's hair, possibly an EFO (error ,freak, or oddity)... I'm embarrassed to say that the "scratch" is really detritus that had gotten between the stamp and the scanner platen and I was too lazy to re-scan the stamp. Perhaps once I finish organizing my collection...
