I have not participated on TSF for a while because on 2/12 my wife's younger brother passed away. He was 61. Yesterday (3/10), my wife's youngest brother passed away, he was only 54. As you can imagine, this has hit us pretty hard. I just wanted everyone to know what was going on.
thanks,
Theron.

I would like to thank everyone for the kind thoughts. It has been a while since I have participated on TSF. After the loss to my wife's family, and all the stuff that goes with moving stuff out of houses, etc, I did not feel like being an active stamp collector. That is slowly changing, but, my former passion for Newfoundland seems to have faded somewhat. I have no idea why. I was thinking about where I would like to concentrate and then I thought of Jeff's thread on the 1902 US series and I decided that I would upgrade my current issues and get as many mint as I can afford. They are a lovely design. I will post pics when I have enough to show. thanks, Theron.

Hi everyone, I just thought I would post a note because I have been absent for awhile. I just got back from a 10 day road trip to California and Nevada. I also have not been active in stamps for a little while, because I seem to be in a burn-out phase. This has happened to me from time to time and when it does I just put the stamp stuff away and sooner or later, I get the passion for them back. Who knows when? I will check this forum from time to time to see what is going on.
Jack, I got the US stamps from the 3/15 auction today, thanks.
regards to all, Theron

Hi Theron,
Guard that stamp with your life. A mint copy recently sold on ebay for over $20 so a postally-used one must be worth a fortune!
