I was recently given a shoe-box of South Africa and South-West Africa and I found this item. I wonder if anyone out there has any gossip about it. Thanks in advance and regards from Ottawa. cjoint.com/?DCCpqf4WlRk

What I collect: Cinderellas and some Ephemera from Great Britain, France and Israel plus a few beautiful bits from elsewhere !! Topical interests include Flags & Judaica, the latter with an emphasis on the Jewish National Fund.

This is a cut-out pair from a 1936 Jipex Exhibition Souvenir sheet. Many different advertising sheets were produced for the show. I have no idea how many different ones exist. Londonbus1

Yay! Hi Tony, goodness me, nice to see you again, stamping Welcome aboard If you decide to stay longer, perhaps try the free Photobucket, for your images, we can help you use that route, a lot better than CJoint Blair stopped by a few weeks back, great to have such knowledgeable Philatelists aboard. Nice Part South Africa Sheet As Londonbus advises, not sure how many exist, not seen your type before. Sheet on cover Two sheets

Hi Rod. Nice to talk again. A couple of years ago I decided to "go back to school" and have been taking a correspondence course in Classical Latin. However, I find that I do not study as easily as I used to when I was young so I am going to drop out of the fifth semester and re-do it later. My doctor said that my disappointing efforts were really stressing me. So here i am back with some stamps. I already have an account at photobucket and I'm going to try to attach the same image I attached through cjointe. We'll see how it goes. [Broken image link removed]

Which url do you guys select at PB to make the image show along with your post?
Forget it guys, I missed a step. I like PB more than cjointe actually. Forgive the mess and thank you for your patience. Elsewhere I would have gotten half a dozen angry emails by now. Regards.

Hi Tony,
Those who never make a mistake, never learn anything new or else are flat out liars.......
Once you master Photo Bucket, check out Picasa (Google)

Actually, Mike, I have a Picasa account also but the last time I tried to use it I made a mess of the whole thing and ended up going back to cjointe. Yet, next time I post an image I will have another go at Picasa (just for fun). Thanks for reminding me.

This is a cut-out pair from a 1936 Jipex Exhibition Souvenir sheet. .... Note that Tony's pair is missing the JIPEX 1936 overprint, so it's actually from the booklet pane listed in Scott as 48j. It would appear to be more rare to be missing the overprint, according to catalogue value, at least. A full pane of 6 with the JIPEX overprint is valued at $4 in my 2008 Scott, but it's worth $27.50 if it's missing the overprint. Ryan

Nice spotting and detective work, Ryan... You are on your game I thought it odd, but didn't chase it up.
