Hi
Not sure where to put this. Admin may want to move it to a more appropriate place.
Some have already gotten one or more or all of the stamp tables that were developed to facilitate stamp identification. Recently I put the entire set of tables, associated table index and the ReadMe files on the Box cloud. I am making the tables available to TSF members. Note that these tables are primarily for the Scott catalog. In some cases Michel, Stanley Gibbons and Minkus catalogs are also referenced.
Note: These tables are for personal use only and may not be published on any website.
There are no catalog number permissions. Please adhere to this rule.
To retrieve the StampRefs data:
1. Go to app.box.com/signup/collablink/d_2230872385/3cf602dc67be7
2. Right Click on the StampRefs folder
3. Select DownLoad
Once downloaded, I strongly suggest reading one of the ReadMe files. Also note that there may be a file or two that seems strange. I suggest you leave them. It has been a while since the tables were created and I am not sure of what those files are (have to check them one of these days).
If someone wants to convert a table to another catalog, it would be a welcome addition to the tables. Just let me know so I can add the table to StampRefs (see New Reference in ReadMe for the process of sending me tables). That way the information can be shared by everyone. Any new additions to StampRefs will be announced somewhere in this forum.
There are a couple of tables that are a "work in progress". For instance, in France the descriptions were in the process of being changed from English to the French text actually on the stamp. Someone may want to finish that task. In the store my friend and I both speak French so it was not a problem.
I hope these tables help someone.
