I just added about 15 stamps for Chile in my binder. I also ordered about 5-10 stamps that are my interests. It has been a busy morning getting caught on Chile. There a ton of Chile stamps I would order in a heartbeat.

Hello. What is correct identification for this Chilean Stamp - 2498 or 2498-T?
They are not catalogue numbers. Maybe they are dealer numbers?
They are sg54 / Scott 25.

gmstamps Chile Scott #25 versus Scott #37 Interesting to note, here, how two scanners can offer differing colour hues. Sc#25 "Green" Sc#37 "Blue Green" Yet our two scans look the opposite Sc# 37 is the 1 cent Cristoforo Colombo, RE ENGRAVED But why?... beats me, the Scott #25 looks fine to me Sc#37 Identification = The Arabesque, at the base of the Numeral "1" is missing (The numeral 1 is also fatter / wider) And for the fly-speckers, the rose engine engraving under "centavos" differs. Scott #37 1894 1c Cristoforo Colombo Re engraved (Rouletted)

Nice one, rod222, pointing out the difference between these two very similar stamps. I have yet to sort and organize my holdings of Chile, but when I do, I will be sure to look for the arabesques on these. Quite interesting! Thanks again for your informative post.

gmstamps Also the 2 cent, but this is an easy fellow, the numeral 2 changes. (Rose and Carmine Lake)
