This folder is similar to the cards depicted above but printed by Avon Graphics, Melbourne. This card depicts reprints, from the original die plus 2 test dies for the Australian stamps commemorating Sir Charles Kingsford-Smith's round-the-world flight from 1931 in his triplane 'Southern Cross'. Coolgardie Cycle Express Service 1894 and 1895 In 1892 gold was discovered in Western Australia and the town of Coolgardie was founded. In 1893 a private cycle mail service was established, by James A Healy, to carry the mail to the nearest town of Kalgoorlie. In 1894 he introduced the 2 blue stamps, anniversary reproductions shown below. By 1895 the service was expanded using a camel service. There were 3 values of stamps issued, 6d, 2/- and 5/-. The Western Australian Government stepped in and stopped their sale soon after. The additional 1/- orange shown below is bogus. These are all anniversary stamps and the 1/- is modern. Two Cards with stamps attached and then mint stamps shown front and back. Scan_20200523 (2) by Daniel, on Flickr Scan_20200524 by Daniel, on Flickr

Not strictly an Australian Cinderella, but one with a strong Aussie connection and my personal favourite. On July 21, 1991, the Welsh rugby team played Australia at Ballymore in Brisbane, Queensland. This humorous Cinderella, playing on Wales' 63-6 loss, was produced by Victor Short for the 73rd Congress of the British Philatelic Federation in Cardiff, Wales, in 1991.
