Admin / Mods. This under "Mozambique" not sure if you wish it to remain under the Company? If not please move and create a thread. Are members able to assist? Scott #19 King Luiz (received in a dime lot) should be "Dull Lilac" , is this then a colour changeling? I have two similar. Thanks Note: if you look closely at the bottom of the oval, under the bust, you can see the embossing machine has ripped/punctured the paper.

rod222If the stamp is perf. 13.5 then it is a reprint (Scott 18a) with a 2015 CV of $13 unused and $6 used. A note in Scott's 2015 Classic Specialized indicates that many of the reprint colors "are paler than those of the originals." p.s. I'm colorblind so I won't offer an opinion regarding your original question.

For mine it is "Blue" or "Chalky Blue" I'll mount these as "colour changelings" In this ebay example you can see the gradual movement of colour, from dull lilac in the two stamps offerred (Sc#18) Mine would be last in the row eg: Dull lilac to Lilac to Blue
