Not sure how many of the world's Stamp Dealers produced their own advertising labels, but if you have any or know of any, post them up here. I have a few which I need to scan but I'll start off with this one.
The Tatham Stamp & Coin Company of Springfield, Massachusetts used the design of the 1912 'Ideal stamp' to good effect. I do not recall how many colours exist.

When I first got back into collecting in 1990, I remember the Stamp dealers at Charing Cross station and purchased an item or two on occasion. I was working in London at the time. However, I was not a Collector of Cinderellas in those days and don't remember buying from this fella !
Notice the cheeky use of the glass slipper in each corner. These labels can be found with other telephone numbers, 2 that I know of at least.

Victor Short, Philatelic Historian and dealer in Philatelic History had some neat ideas about advertising and promoting the hobby. As a Cinderella collector also he made his own labels and sheets to advertise his business and pleasure.
I'll show more another time but to continue this is one of my favourites..........maybe one of those times when he just overspent on his passion !! [Or imploring the public to 'buy more' !!]
The small sheet/large label below is one of three types although I have never seen the other two on different coloured papers and smaller size.

It sounds like Mr. Short had some "slow payers" Here is one response from an Australian dealer (Australian Stamp News) I didn't pay because...............

Posted this card before, but I'll repeat myself here, just because this belongs (though not a cindy, I know) in this category. And, I just like it! ...and of course we may remember I found one of Rod's Tatham labels on the back of an envelope recently. But those he posted look nicer.

Hi James, To the random onlooker (includes me ) Care to explain the difference we should be looking at for the dies? Is it the size of the "2 cent" font? or the engraving above right hand side of "C" for cent.

Sorry, I should have realized that the postcard isn't very clear. Here's a scan from a catalogue, Unitrade I believe. In Die I, just below the large T there is a single line of colour between two white lines. In Die II, that line of colour is replaced by 2 short diagonal lines and 5 dots.

Here is a dealer ad for the Regent Catalogue, a very nice label which surely sold many copies of the catalogue !
The initials top left and right are a dead giveaway.

Dibben & Sons celebrated 50 years of Stamp Dealing with this fine label in 1957. Celebrated dealers from Kingston-Upon-Thames near London.

I was a the home of the CSC Auctioneer just before Christmas and had some fun searching through a couple of boxes. I found a few gems including a stockcard of Stamp and accessory dealer advertising labels. I will scan them all eventually, in the meantime here are a couple of them. I was quite amused and confused by the kiss on the cheek on one of the Kabe labels !!

It's always nice to answer a question by finding the answer from a dealer. So here is a sheet of 4 of a label I posted earlier for dealer Dibben & Sons of Kingston-upon-Thames in the UK. Now I know where the single came from ! ...and below is a very nice and amusing label advertising Showguard Mounts. A great idea !

Some of these thread items were touched upon briefly in the TSF Newsletter but here they are in their rightful 'home' !! Stamp Dealer advertizing at it's most serious !! (Cinderellas too!)

More of those Tatham Stamp & Coin Company Labels shown previously. I have been on the lookout for some of these for years but the price always went out of reach. For this lot, I was the only bidder !

I managed to complete the set of colours/designs of this V.Short advertising label. I had never seen this colour previously although I knew of it's existence. For those who didn't read about Mr.Short in a recent TSF Newsletter, he was a very active Philatelic Historian in the UK and also published Journals and the very unusual monthly, Philatelic Paraphernalia. Apart from the Maroon (above), there are the Black & Black-Olive types. Hard to distinguish which is which from the scans ! (Black-Olive is at bottom). A single Black copy was shown earlier in the topic.

KENDRICK-BELLAMY CO., Denver, Colorado. I found a couple of references to this Book Publisher and shop in existence from 1910 to 1930 and then another at a different address in 1978 ! I saw a number of advertisements stating them to be Stationers and Office suppliers. I also saw some nice pictures of their premises at 16th & Stout Streets from that early period. Plenty of private Printed envelopes and paper and even a couple of letter seals. But nowhere did I find even the slightest reference to a Stamp Department ! Except for this Souvenir Sheet !! Anyone ?

Couldn't find much about this firm apart from what was noted on the Advertising Label. At least it shows a nice Bavarian Stamp with King Ludwig !! I came to the conclusion long ago that one could collect Cinderella/Poster stamps only on the City of Munich. There are literally thousands !!

A recently acquired Wichita Stamp Company advertising cinderella, presumably once in Wichita, Kansas. I've not heard or seen any evidence of the Wichita Stamp Co., but I'm guessing that this label was one of several different philatelic advertisements produced in sheet format. To have a peelable hinge, indeed, would be a philatelic joy.
Anyone else seen this item, or others similar to it, before?

I have to correct my above statement re; the Wichita Stamp Co. Since posting the image of the label, I found an ad by the company in a 1917 issue of Philatelic Gossip. The age of the ad makes me wonder how old this cinderella label is. Also, the Fields/Picklo catalog of cinderellas lists the item, but does not date it. A Google Maps search locates 1559 N. Topeka Avenue as a vacant lot in an industrial area on Wichita's north side.
I apologize for the fuzzy post of the ad. It got that way from resizing.

A couple of stamp dealer advertising labels. The first is from the New England Stamp Company featuring an orange facsimile of the Great Britain £5 (Scott #93) stamp. The perforated stamp is from the 1920s, but the design was used much earlier by the company on printed envelopes, so imperforate cut-outs from these envelopes exist. The company was founded in 1893 and had offices in Boston - first on Washington Street and later in the Washington Building on Bromfield Street.
The second stamp is from Jacques Krebs, a New York stamp dealer. The issue date is unknown. The stamp is also available in black or red.

I was looking at some FAM covers and I rediscovered this long forgotten piece of stamp collecting ephemera. An advertising card from Gimbels Stamp Department designed for use as a stiffener in philatelic covers. It came in the cover posted below. Some one must have purchased this cover from Gimbels at some point in the past. Don StampHinger The cover that this card was in

An early business card from a stamp dealer specializing in revenues. It is undated, but I am guessing it is from around the 1920s.

On the 1950 decade Josep Majó Tocabens, that had a stamps shop at Barcelona's (Catalonai) Pelayo street issued a set of cinderellas showing some Barcelona views. On the back of each cinderella, you can read the name and address of the shop. The shop, arrived to our days, though on last years they've changed their address and the owner is the greatchild of Mr Majó.
Mr. Majó, as well, wrote some books on philately.
