Has anyone else had this ? I have never had it happen before and it only happens here on TSF not on any other site.
When I scroll down the page the bottom part turns black, and if I scroll quickly to get to a certain point the whole screen goes black for a second or two. It is not a huge problem but just irritating to see 'black' every time I am on the forum.
As I said, it is ONLY on TSF.
Does anyone have any ideas ?
Thanks.

No, this is something I've never seen on this site. I run an ad blocker and because I'm logged in, it only finds two things on any TSF page that it needs to block. Perhaps it's one of those blocked items that causes your problem? If that was the case, though, you'd expect many other users who don't use ad blockers to also have the same problem.
I've come across sites that bog down when trying to load some sort of Java script nonsense, but that typically locks up the whole page and stops me from scrolling at all. I've also seen small elements that don't load quickly and turn black while they're waiting (such as an embedded video clip or something like that) but I've never seen what you describe on any site.

Nothing here Michael, I have "Little Man " theme I see no search box either, I think "Ghostery" may be blocking, that's OK, I like Ghostery, and I find it easy to search via the top box.
Received your Auction Lot today, Lb1, Many Thanks. Also for the (as always) the free gifts. You are very generous fellow.

Hi Lononbus1
I have had it happen on other sites as well as TSF. If you are using Chrome it might be that. I do not have it happen in IE8.

Michael, I have never experienced that problem here or elsewhere (I use the 2.0 theme and Chrome). ... So I went to check other Proboards sites to if this was the problem and I checked around 10 and no Black Screen from Hell. I did notice on my tour that the maximum number of posts I found on a page was 10 !! Again no connection but interesting nonetheless.
In the meantime, still in a quandary.

Nothing much we can do as onlookers, Michael. We hope you can get a fix, soon. If you do, please advise what caused the irregularity. For reflection: Have you installed any subsidiary programs recently? For me, I would try a "restore" and go back to another safe and workable system (Win7)

You may have mentioned this elsewhere, but could you post your System software version, the browser & version, and how much memory you have installed?
This is a known problem for some situations, usually related to memory usage. You can try starting your browser in safe mode (if that option is available) and see if you still run into the problem on TSF.
