Wow, very nice! Seems like you've done quite a bit of GB Commonwealth shopping lately, Londonbus1 Keep them coming! No shopping ! All these Commonwealth items are part of the collection I picked up whilst in Europe recently, and I am selling for a friend. But I find myself getting quite attached to all these lovely issues and it is taking up all my spare time. Hardly sold anything thus far !! Oh dear !

Cheers. Must be hard to see and put hands (=tweezers) on that much nice stuff only to see it go away... Good luck in your endeavors! It might not all go away. I am seriously considering making a small collection of just one Commonwealth country/area and use the stamps I find here as the starter. I am leaning towards the Japanese Occupation of Malaya but will not decide until all the collection has been looked at and sorted. But then again, maybe not ! HELP !!!!!!!!!!

South Africa and South West Africa are a couple of my favorites. The stamps from the 1920's thru the 1950's are very well designed and challenging to identify sometimes.
Here are a couple of my favorites from the Official overprints - both are highly desirable stamps that you might not recognize if you weren't looking for them. (Hint, look carefully at the overprints.)
The 2d is the rare overprint - Gibbons O21 and Scott O21.
The 1d has the overprints and the stamps inverted. Afrikaans overprint on an English stamp and vice-versa.
If these are interesting to you, see the complete set by selecting from the links below:
I have over 160 web sites that will help you identify your British Colonies. Use this link to find the index of sites.

Wow, that seems to be quite a brave choice - those are not very available and plagued with forgeries and even false expert signatures etc, if memory serves me right. Probably a perfect area for a seasoned collector like yourself - good luck

A cover mailed in Windhoek to Dresden, YT#105 from 1931. Nothing rare or expensive, just nice. I admire the postmen of the times who were able to decipher these addresses and actually deliver such envelopes to the right place!
