Esperanto, was very popular among Catalan workers, that saw on that language a way to comunicate with foreign friends. So There are many Esperanto cinderellas issued in Catalonia, from early XXth century up to around 1985.
I'll start with 2 isued in 1909 for the 5th Esperanto International Congress of Barcelona.
The first cinderella (with an angel), was a gift of my late friend, Alexandre Siches, who was the greatest Catalan cinderella collector that has ever been, as well as a good friend and Catalan patriot.

This neat little label would have fit just as nicely under a Cinderella 'Stamp on Stamp' topical or even Philatelic Exhibitions !! But Esperanto it is. The Congress was held in Barcelona 25-29 July 1956.

At the begining of XXth century, Esperanto was very popular in Catalonia. Cinderellas, were printed on big sheets with many different items. This one, commemorates different Esperanto events all around Catalonia (Tarragona, Sant Feliu de GuĂxols, Barcelona...) in 1914.
It's very likely that the promoter and, perhaps, printer of this sheet was Joan Amades i Gelat (Barcelona, 1890-1959) Printer, folcklore student and Esperantist. A label of his workshop is in the sheet:

A very typical sport in Catalonia, is building human castles. Valls, on the South of our country, is where it started.

Not a collector of Esperanto items, but got this cover in a lot and decided to keep it. In addition to the philatelic franking, there is an advance label for the 1954 international Esperanto congress in Tokyo, Japan. I would think that Esperanto might be useful in Asian countries where languages are so unlike the European ones upon which Esperanto is based. According to the internet, a high estimate puts Esperanto users at 2 million.
