Mouchon was commissioned to engrave 2 values for Belgium, celebrating the Brussels Exposition 1897 The Brussels International Exposition (Exposition Internationale de Bruxelles) of 1897 was a World's Fair held in Brussels, Belgium, from May 10, 1897 through November 8, 1897. There were 27 participating countries, and an estimated attendance of 7.8 million people. The main venues of the fair were the Cinquantenaire Parks and a colonial section at Tervuren showcasing King Leopold II of Belgium's personal property, the Congo Free State. The two exposition sites were linked by a purpose-built tramway. 10c Value Saint Michael triumphing over Satan. Mouchon may have signed these, perhaps above the tassels near the Church Spire or an "M" below the 10c value tablet. What I personally like, is the treatment by Mouchon of the Night Sky...brilliant! Stamp has "do not deliver on Sunday" tab.

Here's my pages for Type Mouchan 1st series - I may re-design toplace details on same page as related denomination, but this makes the 30 centimes an orphan.... have to see if I have enough perfins or interesting cancellations to make th page more complete- The Type Merson (Liberty and Peace) are next and those pages are complet. The 2nd series Type Mouchan follow... as to the color shades, the more I look at these (especially the blu issues), the less I think they are correct, but I do not have a large group to compare and these seem not all that common andmint issues are high CV. the detail page is the file converted to jpg, I will print on the manilla paper next week, unless I decide to re-deign If anyone sees a glaring typo, please let me know, I have been looking at these pages for several days now...

The last page (white) I really like, and looks like a great addition to any album which would also serve as a quick pictorial guide to stamp variations,I am going to seriously consider doing the same to some of my albums.

thanks biglavalamp I can only print in B/W at home, so must wait till I go into the office to print anything in color. I like to have the details with the displayed stamps, knowing that a catalogue (with details) will not always be available, and depending on which catalogue, the discription can be vague or hard to decipher. ... ( and it's for me in case I forget!!!) My pages become my own catalogue, as I am not that focused on CV I still may redesign.... I need to look at them for a few days and should print out the last page on the correct paper- I could likely fit all the series on one page, but it would be too crowded for my tastes- the beauty of making your own pages!

Could I suggest one thing to consider, instead of black pointed arrows you consider red pointed arrows.

Redesign- this is a file jpg as I have to wait till i go to work to print in color, so background will not be white- I tried different color arrows, but black was easiest to see what they are point at Option 1
Option 2

and page 2 and all stamps on 2 pages. I though it might look too crowded, but I think this works. I followed Page 1 option 2 (denomination above group rather than with each color Y&T #) and it allows for the full series to be shown on 2 opposing pages.... I imagine somewhere I am going to have to come up with filler text/backstory pages as I know this is not a;ways going to conveniently work out so there are no 'blanks'... though for fun I could lable those as "This page left intentionally blank" .......
