I will attack this thread sometime this week because it is a bit frustrating. In the meantime, to bring the topic back on track I have these........... I have an issue date for these as 1918-19 to commemorate the end of WW1. But more research is needed. The Red Cross overprints signify the first issues in April 1916 of 'Dead Soldier Diplomas', engraved certificates that were given to the families of soldiers who had been killed in action. They were delivered personally by someone from the relevant committee. The labels (also the Diplomas) show a relief from the Northern edge of the Arc de Triomphe in Paris.

This Poster/Advertising stamp is looking for support for the Red Cross. Probably out of the USA. Almost the same design of label has been spotted perforated. Late 1920's ?

I would say that these are WWI British Red Cross cinderellas, looking at the ambulances. King george V had a daughter called Mary: HRH Pricess Mary.

Well, LB1 ( Londonbus1), Joan ( cursus), knew about HRH Princess Mary, but personally, I really liked Dame Gladys Cooper. She was a famous British actress from London who appeared in all sorts of shows in the West End prior to WWI, and after the war, it seems that she managed a theatre and appeared in more shows, too. She also starred in Hollywood feature films in the 1930s and 1940s, including one of my personal favourites, The Bishop's Wife, which starred Cary Grant, David Niven, and Loretta Young. That movie was released in 1947, and was mentioned previously in a post made by coastwatcher here: thestampforum.boards.net/post/96208/threadAnyway, never knew that Gladys Cooper appeared on a stamp, Cinderella or otherwise.... very cool!

Few more Red Cross Labels, a couple which are still a mystery. (But I am working on it) Perhaps B H is British Honduras, as it's within the same Caribbean basin area; its local printing capabilities probably quite primitive in that era. From 1891 to 1922, British Honduras never issued a 4c stamp, thus avoiding an issue with the Post Office. Or maybe the printer charged by the letter. Does this look like linoleum-block printing to anyone who knows about printing? I can help with this one, Bosnia-Herzegovina. Under Austro Hungarian rule from 1878- 1918. This pair on piece with 2 KuK Military Post stamps are postmarked 1914. Scan_20200619 by Daniel, on Flickr

A 1942 Fund-Raising label for the British Red Cross and Order of St.John of Jerusalem. Missing the Red cross top left corner. Exists also perforated. These were produced by an Army Corps Field Survey Company in sheets of 25 (5x5) with margins all round. I have long had a soft spot for this label. Looks much more classy with the Red Cross........I don't have a copy ! Similar label may have been produced during or after World War I. More to come........
