The 2013 10th May Issue Australia and Israel joint issue. Battle of Beersheba. Commemorating the 1917 Battle of the Australia Light Horse in WWI. There is a problem with this issue of a $2.60 International Post & a standard 60c letter rate stamp making up the set and that at that time in history Palestine ruled the area where the battle took place and not Israel. It has created some problems as you can imagine. Always Happy Stamping. kg5

KG5 I also have a Australian joint issue. Canada and Australia. I will scan it later and post here. Maybe we could change the title of this thread to Australian joint issues ?

I'll add this one for CURIOSITY value. Norfolk Island Postal service Australia Post sends and receives mail from Norfolk Island with the postcode 2899. However distribution is carried out by the Norfolk Island Postal Service. Consequently, stamps issued by Norfolk cannot be used in Australia, and those issued by Australia Post cannot be used on the island. Spot the Norfolk Island Stamp

Joint issue with the UK 1988: I remember some sort of an uproar occurred with this issue. The image of John Lennon was not approved by Yoko I believe.

You must be thinking of something else altogether casso. John Lennon did not appear on this issue! It features WG Grace (Cricketer) , An Aussie Stockman , Shakespeare and the Aussie parliament. John Lennon had no connection with Aussie Bicentennial .

Lennon appeared alongside William Shakespeare on one of the 34p stamps (Scott 1225) in Great Britain's 1988 Australian Bicentenary issue. I can't speak to any problem that may have surrounded the use of his image.

Maybe put one in a collection, thematic/topical, even if it is just this issue. unauthorized official usage of screen/musicians on stamps, now that would be a hard task me thinks.
