They are great!
But I must admit the Bruxelles one is a bit creepy - looks like we looking through a sniper's rifle!

That's the fun of cancels! They can make even the most common stamp look dazzling. Hope to see some more here. I will post some of my latest ones this weekend.

OK, just pulled these out of my stamp press. Not really sure if they all qualify as socked on the nose or not, but I like them. And here is one of my all time favorites. Question - How much of a cancel should be showing to be considered a "sock on the nose" cancel?

In a perfect world, the CDS would be entirely readable, but to answer your question, I would suggest the very centre point of the cancellation device, match the centre point of the stamp, the rest is matter for debate and opinion.

If so ignore the image button and paste the img code directly into the post and you will have a image.

Alan, if you are using remote hosting, just paste the link direct.
Do not use "insert image" at TSF
PB will give you a little window with the link, you click on that and it says "image copied" or something like that Then just paste it to TSF

Nice looking material! I really enjoy a nicely centered and struck S.O.T.N. cancel.

Finding a SON stamp is always a keeper for me. I really like those issues that you run across every once in a while. Shows someone at a Post Office somewhere took a second to make the stamp memorable. I always find it a fun way to get the grands interested in the stamps as well. Stamps like that always attract my eye. Nick
