What I collect: Cinderellas and some Ephemera from Great Britain, France and Israel plus a few beautiful bits from elsewhere !! Topical interests include Flags & Judaica, the latter with an emphasis on the Jewish National Fund.

Since the quiz I ran together with my giveaway in the recent Newsletter, I have come across more information about the items in question. These were used for pre-paying British VAT on boxes of Flowers sent by post. I can confirm they were used in both Guernsey and Jersey and also Alderney. They were not normally cancelled. Issued in 1973, printed by the House of Questa. Perf 14. The £3 value (which I will post up later) was issued at a later date, as yet unknown, but possibly post-1989. The 25p value is not listed in my catalogue and was likely also issued at a later date. There exists also a 5p value in Vermilion but I have not yet seen a copy. As far as I can determine, these are the only revenues up to that date that were valid on all three Islands. Londonbus1 (Ack: Barefoot 1989)
