Canada Post Office Dept. Order Form for Scott #493 issued on 21st May 1969
While going through my father's papers, I found some interesting stamp-related materials. One area that I had forgotten about was that back in the late 1960s and early 1970s, my Dad had subscribed to a service of the Canada Post Office Dept. for buying new issues of stamps. Below is one of those items that I found, complete with the official PO Dept. cover. Can anyone tell me if this sort of material is considered collectible at all? I was initially going to discard these items, but ultimately decided to keep the surviving few pieces that I found. I am certain that there were many, many others received over the years that were probably discarded or destroyed at some other time.

...Can anyone tell me if this sort of material is considered collectible at all? People do collect postal ephemera so I would say that it is.

I tend to think there is a collector for everything. i do recall seeing these years ago. My grandparents delivered the mail in our rural community. They often had stacks of old paperwork that they brought home and used to light fires in the stove. I am now horrified at how much “fun” stuff could have been burnt. They were certainly instrumental in me amassing a great collection of mint Canada stamps from the late 70’s and 80’s. david
