Chris ( Beryllium Guy ), I think it is always preferable to bump an old thread, rather than starting a new one of the same general subject. I look forward to your return to SOCAL and subsequent posting of the Coats of Arms.

Thanks, Steve ( tomiseksj)! For what it's worth, I agree with you about bumping/reviving old threads rather than always starting new ones. Along those lines, I have now modified the thread name to remove the specific reference to Scott, so that hopefully other makes of album labels can also be included here. I have recently acquired a few myself, so I will try to get those organized and post them.

I've collected a couple of sets of flags and coats of arms while deconstructing collections I'd bought at auctions. Like Steve, I had these Jefferson Davis and the Confederate flag labels kicking around. I also have these ten large format Coats of arms which I believe to be from this set. I had somehow labeled them as being published by the Poster Stamp Publishing Co. Happy to be corrected. Have I ever mentioned how I stumbled on Jeff Davis's first grave while wandering around Metairie Cemetery in New Orleans while on a visit last year? Ventured into the tomb of the Army of Northern Virginia, Louisiana Division and found his crypt amongst those of common soldiers. Apparently he was only interred there for 18 months before his wife had him moved to a more fitting final resting place in Richmond. Seems Varina felt he deserved to be resting with a better class of corpse.

"The Swedish Tiger" if I recall, have them as both produced by the "Scott Postage Stamp Album" people , circa 1935 -1945 ? Link to TSF post linkAdvert Some of my examples (Note I may have them in error, as Poster Stamp Publications) "Leaders of the world"
