I was pursuing those elusive OA's and they are expensive then I started these and now the bug must have bit many, as prices are also getting higher.I hold myself in check at around thirty cent each for common stamps maybe little more for better issues. Not sure I will ever get into positions of perfs. that leads to eight different perfs of each stamp.Bit over the top for me.

Perfins, PNCs and coil pairs are three areas I've not wandered off into as of yet but thought about it enough to print US PNC album pages... this thread has been most helpful and, might I add, a bit inspiring to consider adding them to my collecting interests. Y'all rock...

Canada Perfin NEW YORK LIFE INSURANCE CO. Coded for Vancouver B.C. Rod - rod222 - You post the coolest stuff! And this post really has me intrigued - the little info box, are those a complete list of all known Canadian stamps that have been found with that perfin type? The only perfins I collect are Irish and the only reference book I have is the list/album compiled by Mewhinny and the perfin club.So there is a ton I don’t know about perfins. Does there exist a similar type reference for Irish perfins? Thanks!

Hi Philatelia, Quote : the little info box, are those a complete list of all known Canadian stamps that have been found with that perfin type?
Indeed they are BNAPS (In my humble opinion) are the greatest ever, in worldwide Philately, to offer open and broadcast information on every conceivable branch of Canadian philately. The guys and gals behind it, need a hearty pat on the back, makes Canadian collecting a delight most times.
Copyright whilst being totally understandable, can oft time stifle good and advancing research.
I cite the recent difficulty in members getting hold of the de la rue Inks catalogue.
Quote : I have is the list/album compiled by Mewhinny and the perfin club. Interesting, No cat exists like the Canadian with "known on these stamps" exists, AFAIK
I grab bits and pieces from the Irish "REVEALER" bulletin and online posts when I see them. I would suggest you have the best resource.
PS: On thinking about it, I have seen Brit lists, of existing perfins on the KGV Jubilee stamps Malaya et al. So there are hidden lists of these types of things in some obscurer stamp issuers. I guess it depends on the activities of specialised stamp clubs.
French Indo China also comes to mind, with vast in depth information on that country.

Just a "Heads up" members This is a thread for CANADA-BACK OF BOOK-PRIVATE PERFINS
The heading on the post may look as if it is a Worldwide private perfin thread.
