I'm going to stop here as t he rest don't really appeal to me with the exception of a few but not worth the scanning headache to go any further.

And thats the duplicate section. The album must be a treasure. I spend far to much time acquiring rather than organizing. I go back and forth from album to vario pages and neither gets the attention deserved. Sooner or later I'll get a good hingeless of Canada and US and maybe take a break from buying.

The first three pages are my actual stamps {and I've added a few more recently as well} but the rest, yes they are duplicates. Thank you.

Very nice, I.L.S!
I've always wondered why they made Andrew Jackson's head was so big on that 1861 issue. It barely fits in the frame.

Very nice, I.L.S! I've always wondered why they made Andrew Jackson's head was so big on that 1861 issue. It barely fits in the frame. I was going to comment on that prior, but got caught up in auction fever. It is well documented and discussed by older philatelists, on the "balance" of stamp design, the Jackson is always cited as the head being too large for the frame, a later issue of Washington was quoted as being too small for the frame and "too busy" (of the 1901 series IIRC) The more I see of the Jackson stamp, the more I like it, it is immediately recognisable, and I think a stand out design. It's a bit like the Australian Kangaroo and Map, both criticised in their day, but have become particular favourites.
