This is really cool. There are seven pages in this booklet, but I don't want to try and lay them flat because they're from 1844 and I'm afraid the binding could break. It's a booklet Vicky sent to Parliament in order for Albert to sell land for the duchy of Cornwall.

Let’ s get this in context. It is not a booklet and it was not sent by QV to Parliament.
It is a copy of a statute agreed by the government of the day , it is an Act of Parliament, ie it is now a law arranging the financial affairs of the Duchy of Cornwall in proper legal order.
The Duke of Cornwall was one of the titles given to Albert and this act regularised his right to manage the sale and purchase of parts of the estate . The present Duke of Cornwall is Prince Charles and his management of the Duchy is according to the conditions of this 1844 Act of Parliament.

For those unfamiliar with the term, the farthing was the smallest GB coin. One fourth (ing) of a penny. It was still around but of little purchasing worth when I was a child in 1945 .there were 240 pennies in the pound so 960 of these tiddlers and we had to do primary school arithmetic with problems like
I bought 16 yards of cotton cloth at one shilling and twopence threefarthings per yard, how much did I pay. (A yard equals 3 feet, just a bit less than a metre)
The answer is 19/8 d

Photo card of Vicky and Birdie. Photos on reverse side “Bertie” surely zipper ....not “Birdie”.. The Family name for her son the Prince of Wales, Albert Edward , who took the title Edward VII on Victoria’s death these Photos must date from the period of the late 1890s . The Queen was over 80 and elderly , the Prince of Wales was in his 60s and getting elderly . Move on 120 years we have a queen over90 and her successor already 70 ! History repeating itself .
