After seeing the beautiful German colonial Africa stamps in Xavier's ( hrdoktorx ) collection yesterday, I am inspired today to share images of a short set which I acquired since my arrival here in France from the local street market stamp dealer. Germany, Offices in Morocco, Scott #7-18, issued in 1900, featuring overprint "Marocco" and surcharged values in centimes and pesetas on Germania design (Scott A11) inscribed Reichspost. This is a short set. In the Scott listing, the complete set should also contain two types of 5-mark stamps similarly overprinted and surcharged. Here are the first six stamps, Scott #7-12: End, part 1 of 2.

hello, found this and it strikes me as strange. I have many used stamps from the offices, but I cannot make out this cancel. Maybe others can. Here is the caveat, the back of the stamp is undisturbed gum. If the cancel was not on the front I would have placed in an album as MNH. Were these stamps CTO'd at the end of the office?
