To any new collectors of Denmark, watching Spain1850's collection grow, and was intrigued by "the inverted frames" Here is how to detect them, look at the top Left Hand Corner of the Oval Numeral stamps, If the leaves are sprouting from the twig at the same spot, then the frame is inverted, if they sprout at differing points, then that is normal frame. LEFT Normal, RIGHT Inverted.

Hello all! Been away from collecting for a while, but just recently returned. I had to re-teach myself how to use the Album Easy program, but all is right again. Been selling my Spanish stamps again and using the money to buy Swedish and Danish stamps, and last weekend I went to my first stamp show in 10 years. What a blast!
Denmark collection update - I now have 43 pages printed, from the Arms issue (1882) to about 1965. Getting ready to tackle to bi-colored issues, which will include regular, inverted and thick frame varieties, colors and shades and wmk varieties. All in mint and used. Also going to collect the numeral cancels on the 4s red of 1864.

Something else to consider is when the postmark covers the upper left corner, and you cannot distinguish between the frames is to flip the stamp upside down, so the lower right corner becomes the upper left. If the twig is the one for the normal frame, then you know the one for the inverted frame will be the one in the upper left corner, under the cancel.

Richard,
Glad to see your back! Saw your recent acquisitions in another thread and commend you on your selections. If you don't mind my asking, what show did you attend?
