The World Fair in 1939 was apparently hosted in the US in 3 locations New York, Chicago and San Francisco. The San Francisco (Golden Gate International Exposition) the cinderella below, which I received as a surprise from Stewart Hobson in Berkshire UK today coincidentally just happens to be in between the 1939 and 1940 'sessions". I cannot find much about "Exposition of Industry and Commerce" but this stamp apparently was to celebrate Thanksgiving ...coincidentally a brothers birthday (different year) If anyone has some insight, please share

Well, not in between, but before and during. Here are some labels from the 1939-1940 Golden Gate International Exposition in San Francisco. I included 3 labels from the 1938 San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge and Golden Gate Bridge Exposition that I find attractive.

These are Tidewater Associated Oil Company labels for the Golden Gate International Exposition. The "Let's Get Associated" tag is kind of a play on words, as the Tide Water Oil Company and Associated Oil Company had recently merged to form the Tidewater Associated Oil Company. The idea was to let customers know the Tydol gas stations were now Associated (Flying "A") gas stations along the Pacific coast of the U.S. Many labels were produced, but I am only showing the GGIE labels here.
