Hello all, Jay from OK here.
Sorry to have skipped the proper intro formalities, I had a hard time getting password, approval, and new account set up here. I'm an older guy/aren't we all, and been collecting many many moons. I'd consider myself intermediate as though I've learned a lot every day brings something new,
I collect "the world" and love in particular line engraved stamps from anywhere, postal history stuff and good classic area stamps and they're historical story.
There's more to say but that will come especially after learning how to up load pics and all. After all remember I am old!
bye for now, Jay

Welcome Jay! I've adjusted your membership status so that you can now post elsewhere -- please let me know if you have questions or encounter problems. A quick review of the Frequently Asked Questions About Using the Forum board should answer many of the more basic questions. Lastly, I'd be interested in knowing how you learned about our Forum.

Hi Jay, and welcome to the forum. I like your collecting interests. I also collect the world, in that I collect anything that takes my fancy. It's fun that way. I suspect that in time my collecting interests will narrow a bit more - I seem to be getting especially interested in modern postal history topics. Anyway, it's good to have you here, and I am looking forward to reading your posts.

Welcome to TSF, jayinok ! We seem to have quite a run on new members from Oklahoma recently. Whereabouts in OK are you located? I spent 6 months living in Lawton when I was in military service at Fort Sill back in the 1980s. There are many members on the Forum who love classic stamps, so don't be shy about posting images of your stuff or asking questions. See you around the boards! Regards, Chris (aka Beryllium Guy)

Hello all, Jay from OK here. Jay, I'd like to see a full-size scan of your new avatar! I don't recognize the stamp (a revenue stamp, I assume) ... Ryan
