I found this Serbia stamp pair in a lot of fiscal material I picked up recently; can anyone identify it as to specialized catalogue number? If someone can locate it in a Serbian, Michel, or other catalogue I will happily separate the two and send one copy, postpaid, to the proper identifier and poster. A little incentive, if you will :-) The stamp is mint, never-hinged (MNH) and somewhat resembles a few German fiscals I also have. Maybe they were printed by a German security printer (?). I will list it on eBay for the beginning price of 99 cents fairly soon. It would be nice to have further identification. I would also pay handsomely** if anyone would offer a specimen "on cover" or "on piece" with other Serbian stamps.... ** how handsome? You might ask. Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, but I think you'd be happy, even if you're not very handsome yourself. (edit: thank you Beryllium Guy, I turned it the right way :-) ......

Very nice stamps, Jim ( jimwentzell )! Wish I could say that I have seen them before, but I haven’t. Nor do I have an example on piece or cover. If I did, I would gladly let you have it! The one comment I can make is that your image has the stamps turned sideways. They should be rotated 90 degrees so that the image of the crown is on top. I hope that someone else can help more than that! Good luck!

Forbin lists it as being issued in 1895 for taxes on consumer goods. I believe your vertically-oriented stamp is #3 in his listing. Forbin's catalog may be accessed online here.
