I feel strongly that we have not had enough Cleveland recently, so here is one from 8 November 1974. us.cleveland.oh-1974.11.08 by Mick Taylor, on Flickr CLEVELAND, OH 441 / PM / 8 NOV/ 1974

Another one from the " Beryllium Guy 's dad cover collection." This one confirms that Cleveland is the best location in the nation and was mailed on 27 September 1974, a Friday. us.cleveland.oh-1974.09.27 by Mick Taylor, on Flickr Also on that day it was reported that the Van Dorn Co. increased its dividend payout. Chris ( Beryllium Guy ), are the Van Dorns wealthy relatives of yours? The Marion Star, 27 September 1974, p15.

On 9 September 1982, Schultz Bros. Van & Storage sent this advertising card. Alas, it never reached R. Cook, but remained in the Rio Nido post office dead letter department, eventually finding its way somehow to Toledo, Oregon where I bought it as part of a large postcard purchase. us.santa.rosa.ca-1982.09.19.and.1982.09.09 by Mick Taylor, on Flickr SANTA ROSA CA. 954 / PM / 9 SEP / 1982 Pleasingly, Schultz Bros. Van & Storage still exists in Santa Rosa.

You can never have too much Cleveland. So here is another one, but for the 3rd of August, 1970. And from a veterinarian rather than a dentist. us.cleveland.oh-1970.08.03 by Mick Taylor, on Flickr CLEVELAND OHIO / IB / -PM / 3 AUG / 1970

Cashing in on chaos seems like it would be a bit risky. But I guess Hans at MicroMedia can help. He mailed this through the Denver P&DC on 14 July 1998. us.denver.poc-1998.07.14 by Mick Taylor, on Flickr DENVER P&DC 88266 \ JUL 14 \ PM \ 1998

The nice folks in the Kittitas, WA post office hand cancelled this for me on 29 June 2018. It also later picked up a Yakima cancel on its arduous journey to my abode in Portland. This charming postcard was sent from Los Angeles on 6 June 1910. us-los.angeles-1910.06.06 by Mick Taylor, on Flickr LOS ANGELES, CAL. / JUN 6 / 6 PM / STA.D 1910 stamped separately? Postcard text: Dear Friend Allie:- How are you. I think of you often. I sent you some postals last summer, but I guess you did not get them. How is your mother? Give her my love. I would like to see you all. Wish you were here to help me enjoy the (summer?) & fruit of Cal. Write and tell me all the news. (?) - Vala H.Perhaps some of the fruit that Vala was enjoying was that thrown by the Elks on that day! Elks_throwing_fruit by Mick Taylor, on Flickr Los Angeles Herald, 6 June 1910, p10
