I was always annoyed by US Definitves having so many different major Scott catalog numbers because different printers used different die-cuts, or different microprints. Then we had ATM booklet stamps vs regular booklet stamps, and sheet stamps. All had the same basic design, but had different Scott major numbers. This was also very common for Christmas stamps.
Well, looking at the 2020 and 2021 stamps, I am no longer seeing that. In 2020 and 2021, it looks like there is only one major catalog number for the non-traditional Christmas stamp.
Is this pain point now gone for people that collect all major Scott catalog numbers and each definitive and Christmas stamp now only going to have one major Scott catalog number?

I'm poking around Virtual Stanmp Club, and it looks like the "problem" is still there for definitives, but not for Christmas stamps. Those seem to have settled on one catalog number.
