These "black plate" penny reds have been challenging to find with the Letters RL.

That’s a stunning example, Rob ( REL1948)…. Wow! That stamp has 4 ample margins, and the Maltese Cross postmark is superb. Congratulations on an amazing acquisition! |

These "black plate" penny reds have been challenging to find with the Letters RL. That's cause somebody's hoarding them.  I'd probably do the same thing if they had 3-letter check letter combinations.  |

REL1948 a gem of a stamp, a delight to see. In that condition, a challenge to find regardless of the corner letters.
