This week we decided to tackle an area that has received very little attention from philatelic researchers: the Canada Post Sealed plate block packs. These packs exist with 8 different basic insert card designs, as well as many font changes and last minute improvisations when Canada Post ran out of stock. I have written a detailed blog post about these very collectible and interesting items, and this promises to be a very lucrative field for the dedicated philatelist who seeks out and acquires the scarce types. We have almost 200 of these lots in this week’s auction, covering the packs issued from 1974 to the end of 1981, with later issues to come in the following weeks. You can read that detailed post here: brixtonchrome.com/blogs/canadian-stamps-and-postal-history/canada-post-sealed-packs-1973-to-dateComments are appreciated as always, as well as any images or info members may have about packs issued before 1973 15c COJO symbol or anything I haven't covered in this post.

Thank you for an informative article! I have reviewed my collection, and it has sparked some interest in some of the 'early' packs that are discussed. I am currently tyring to acquire the Unitrade listed 'pre packaged stamps', and I feel there is a timeline of these packs leading into the Canada Post plate packs. Here is my copy of Canada 624 with the red insert, as discussed in the article; I am also interested in the 72 definitive issue, but have only found 2 of the packages;
[/a] Can anyone else post front and back images of the low values? I also understand from Brix other articles that the precancel low values were also produced in these packs.
