My interests are in UK stamps particularly those pesky Machins and other Definitives. I have been collecting myself since 1963 and have also inherited my father's, father in law's and a friends collections so have many thousands of stamps which drives my wife mad!!!!

What I collect: I collect world wide up to 1965 with several specialty albums added due to volume of material I have acquired. At this point I am focused on Canada and British America. I am always on the lookout for stamps and covers with postmarks from communities in Queens County, Nova Scotia. I do list various goods including stamps occasionally on eBay as hdm50

I have a ton of machins. I do not collect them. No idea of the value, I expect big catalogue, but small in reality. I will try and post some in the correct spot this time! Oh, forgot, welcome to the forum. This place is great!

Hello, cheesie, and welcome to TSF! I lived in the UK from Oct-2019 until Oct-2022 (Oxford) and during that time, my wife and I did a day tour of the Cotswolds, and I am pretty sure we visited Cooper's Hill, as shown in the stamp image in your avatar. Great stuff! Enjoy your time with us.... lots of Machin collectors here. -Chris, now in California
