I wish you all a nice and prosperous new year! Thank you for the acceptance.
This is Nikos Karniaoutakis from Greece, 44 years old.
I study and collect stamps from my childhood. I am a member of the Hellenic Philatelic Society (HPS). I have done two philatelic books so far and participated in European (FEPA, NOTOS21, LIBEREC22) and World (FIP, LONDON22, HELVETIA22) exhibitions in 2021-22. IBRA23 in Essen Germany follows in May.
These days I decided to start studying the basics of GB line engraved issues 1840-1880 and probably form a small representative collection of these historical items. Not anything particularly important or rare but some basic stamps able to tell the story in a rough (but OK for the beginner) way. I already read your forum (as well as many other websites) and learn. Hopefully I will have questions and receive replies from others.
Thank you all,
Nikos

Dear all, thank you for your warm welcome! dorincard: My knowledge on the subject is limited to the absolute basics. Some of these are beautiful to my eyes, mainly the older, incidental types. I do not collect them. The current President of the Hellenic Philatelic Federation is an active exhibitor in Maximaphily. Do not hesitate to be in touch with him, he is very friendly and he will be glad to help! maximaphilia.weebly.com

I visited (again) the Greek maximaphily website. Nice, but "it's...all Greek" language, with a bit of English.
