Royal Mail have just released this image, they go on sale 4 April 2023 That has to be pretty awesome to get mail and see your own profile on the stamp.
Nice profile.
Mike
I am definitely envious of his full head of hair. I miss having hair!!

I am definitely envious of his full head of hair. I miss having hair!! I don't know...but if *I* was King Charles and my profile was on a billion stamps...even though I was royalty and had a certain image I had to project and all of that...in the privacy in my own bedroom and by myself, I would do a Wayne and Garth "Schwing!" ala from "Wayne's World."
And while I have let my hair grow to my shoulders after 34 years in the military here in the states, I do have to say that I do not have a lot on top. I do miss that too.
Interesting discussion on the Jennings and left face/right face. Mike

As far as coins went, it seems King George VI bucked tradition and faced the same direction as his father. Note the size of the 1841 Victoria penny compared to its successors. My apologies for the lousy scan. I've never tried scanning my coins before. Rob

It certainly looks that way from your picture Rob (REL1948), but Edward VIII would have faced the other way... if he had been around long enough for coins to be minted with his head on (at least in the UK).

Kevin in London Wow Kevin (wakeybluenose), spot on, I never thought of that. I've held this belief for years but you've set the record straight for me. Thank you so much. Rob

The Jennigs's are not bad. A clean picture, continuing the tradition of the Queen, without the chrone... Not bad and a natural sequel of the Machin's...

I just received a crisp copy of the Official Souvenir Programme from the King Charles III Coronation. It's nicely done and follows a similar pattern to previous souvenir programmes from King George VI and Queen Elizabeth II (which I've shown in previous posts). Rob
