Hello, My name is Peter. I initially started collecting postcards in 2019 , buying online, going to garage sales, overall buying selling trading and holding postcards. In 6 months my collection was well over 1000 postcards, all from 1880-1950's, I had about 400+ Posted postcards and I began getting find of the different stamps of gathered. That first 6 months I had NO IDEA that stamps even had worth. I must have let go, traded or sold so many rare stamps thinking I won because I'd gotten a postcard I liked more lol. I started looking up stamps and eased up on Deltiology to go full blown Philatelic pro collector. That was in 2020, COVID was on the rise and I avoid SOOO many rare stamps online. I DO still love postcards, lots of my collection is a rare postcard listed with a rare stamp here and there. But I also, for the past 3+ years. Have been collecting stamps, I admit I like US stamps, particularly 1910-1926 era, but I also collect international as a rare stamp isn't particularly US postage. Absolutely LOVE unique cancels, posted precanceled stamps and just about all kinds of stamps now, imper, perforated, used, mint, single, entire books. You name it. So yea, excited to read and share with a group of people with like interests in an awesome niche. Excited to be a member and look forward to sharing and learning from the Forum. Thanks everyone!
