Good day to all,
Happened to come across the forum looking for some information on a stamp that was on a postcard. The information was helpful so decided to sign in.
I am Dharshana from Sri Lanka (formally Ceylon) Have been collecting since I was a kid end enjoy the hobby for pleasure more than profit. I am a scout leader and badge councilor for the stamp collector and philatelist badges. I believe its one of the best ways to encourage youngsters to take up a hobby and keep them away from smart phones.
Collect Sri Lanka, Ceylon, and Greece as country collections, and Scouts on Stamps, Dogs, Climate change and Environment (more to educate the scouts I work with), and Tin Tin as thematic topics.
Look forward to gathering knowledge as well as sharing where ever I can like exchanging stamps the good old way. although I have been buying on delcampe and eBay when I wanted something special.

Welcome! I'm also a leader in our local troop. I wish more kids were interested in stamp collecting; I've been a MB counselor for this badge for over six years and not one kid has shown any interest.
