Just one word of advice,Slaven, to borrow a phrase about Cinderellas... "If a Cinderella is advertised more than you care to spend, then don't"
Prices vary, and a patient buyer can benefit extraordinarily well.
That recent Minisheet from Romania I posted is CV $8.50 I bought a Bulk lot of Romania, at 17% of CV, which included this sheet, hence the price I paid was around $2 with postage. I just read a link where a fellow saw a single "Croatian exile stamp sold for $20". Be vigilant.

I was starting to catalog my Hungary stamps the other day and came across this one in the pile. It took me quite awhile to identify it as the Croatia-Slavonia 1919 3k dark violet, perf. 11.5 issue (Yugoslavia Scott 2L40) featuring the falcon as a symbol of liberty.

And the other one, "braniti čast i slobodu hrvatske vrhovna je dužnost svakog hrvata" comes out (roughly) as "defend the honor and freedom Croatian supreme duty of every Croats". So it might be, "Defending the honor and freedom of Croatia is the supreme duty of every Croatian".

Hello Slaven, the Ante Pavelich, the semi postals, and tourism pages are Mr. William Steiner's pages ((Whole world circa $39 on CD) The rest, the exile govt etc, I made myself. I follow the Witt Cinderella method, pages pretty bland, but information for the next person whom takes over custody.

Thank you rod222! I'm looking for ways to sort my collection because I'm out of album space (and out of money ) This looks good and pages are easier to scan than album pages. Do you use hawid strips or something else to mount it on paper? I bought this error stamp in world lot few years ago. There is cut on right knee on second stamp. Price of this stamp is about 10$, first one is under 1$.

Hi Slaven, It's a constant turmoil in my collecting. I dislike gum, and have a problem showing any respect to it. When I began collecting I washed all my stamps, I still believe gum is a long term danger. The values in Scott constantly beg more respect, some stamps showing a $300 difference just with gum, so I bend. I mount hinge most of my stamps to A4 buffered paper with a supposed life span of 100 years and use mounts with stamps that have not been hinged before, or with stamps with a value in excess of $40 or so. I have collections that have been hinged for 50 years and they still look good, yet other collections with (probably cheap hinges) that have gum discoloration after 10 years.
Mine is the most economical way of collecting, and it has to be, as a world wide collector.
I hinge mount, then slip the page in supposedly safe plastic sleeves, still waiting to find a company that can appraise my plastic.
My A4 pages are easy to scan, I think US use a different format, my Steiner pages are often drawn too small (esp for miniature sheets) Cheers.

Hi Slaven, you are not alone, I nearly chucked in this Forum when I began, I would type large information responses, and "Bloop" it would disappear, It is most frustrating.
I now, by a matter of course type my long responses in word processor and then paste.
Sorry it happened to you, I would have loved to read your comments.
Great stamp pieces!

I wonder what the full sheet of these Kamenita Gate stamps looks like - note that Rod's copy has the Philatelic Exhibition text label immediately to the left of the stamp, but Slaven's has a logo label immediately to the left, with the text label further on to the left.

Ryan I share your thoughts. I have glassines of Yugoslavia, but not attempted mounting them, possibly a job for next year, I have carried out nil study on Yugoslavia excepting some Cinderellas for the deaf.

rod222 thank you for advice. I'll try to write longer post tomorrow to give you some more information on stamps. Maybe I'll make video about Kamenita Vrata in near future and here is why: I'm currently working on website for free education and one of the "video shows" will be about stamps. I found how full sheet looks in Croatian catalogue (written by Petar Strpić in 2003). There may be more info in newer versions of catalogue but it will remain mistery because I can't afford it I. is stamp with Kamenita Vrata and II. is stamp with Zagrebs cathedral EDIT: I made a mistake, this is how full sheet looks like

I didn't forget about my promise, but currently I'm involved in hardest job ever... and that is finding a job First I want to share this stamps with you. Wikipedia article is detailed enough if you want to read more about this interesting fellow - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roger_Joseph_BoscovichReason for posting this stamp is that I want to start showing catalogued errors and other markings that you may easily miss. This is picture of engravers mark on stamp with face value of 12,50 kunas. PO-I is short for POSEBNOST I – of first speciality, PO-II is for second speciality and so on…. PO-I is for engravers mark - 120kn or about 21 USD PO-II is for unperforated stamp - 350kn or about 62 USD PO-III is for test colors (for one stamp) - 200kn or about 35 USD Just for comparison - price for both regular stamps is little over 1 USD And now more on stamps with Kamenita Vrata (Stony Gate). Stamps that rod222 and I posted exist in reversed colors and they are considered as Croatian stamps by Croatian catalogue (written by Petar Strpić) and not as Yugoslavian stamp like in Michel catalogue (I think they are in YU in Scott catalogue too). Stamps were made for philatelic exhibition in Slavonski Brod (town in Croatia). All stamps were sent in Zagreb (capital of Croatia). Three days before exhibition NDH (Nezavisna Država Hrvatska or Independent State of Croatia) was declared and event was canceled. Some of these stamps have gold overprint with name of NDH and Croatian coat of arms. This is how it looks: First label, one with the logo, stands for HFS (Hrvatski Filatelistički Savez - Croatian Philatelic Society). Kamenita Vrata are immortalised by Croatian writers August Šenoa and Marija Jurić Zagorka. This monument was part of Zagrebs defence system. Kamenita Vrata was built in 13th century. It has this appearance since 1760. Inside the gate is chapel that survived blaze in 1731.
