No problem, Rod. I'll start posting more in next few days. I spent lot of time working on my website. I want to promote some hobbies and tomorrow I'll post first video about philately. I'm still learning how to work with limited resources so it won't be anything special but I think it will help educate people in a long run. After few videos I'll contact admins on this forum to ask if I can post videos here so people can help me make them better. I want to give away all my spare stamps as promotional giveaway but I'm afraid I'll have to sell some so I can buy a camera.... It's nice to see all this stamps in mint condition. Stamp with Josip Jelacic has catalogued error called "the scar". This is the one I have

Thanks Slaven, good luck with your video venture, sounds like fun. Don't bother about giving away stamps, if your finances are low, sell them, You shall have plenty of stamps to give away later on in life. Save money whilst you can.
Thanks for the "scar" variety.

Wow! well done you, Steve. I'll keep that. Yes, possibly a part of Australia's wool promotion, maybe not even a cover. Maybe a promotional broadsheet shard. Not intended to deceive postage.
Great work from you, as usual.

If we talk about Croatia, and Philatelic material from this country, it will be good to mention, that Croatia have/are two periods. One that was in WWII under name of NDH (Nezavisna Drzava Hrvatska - Independent Country Croatia) actually under German, better say, under Third Reich occupation (and protectorate), and modern Independent Croatia (Republika Hrvatska), which come to life after destruction of Yugoslavia, in 1991 year. Here I will show You one sample of stamps from each period: NDH period (capital item shown): Republika Hrvatska - new, modern period:

Miloje I guess I'll have to wonder.I don't have social media accounts and never will.I've watched my kids generation deteriorate into phone and facebook junkies.Anywhere you go now anyone under forty cannot go five minutes without their fix.Sometimes it's extremely annoying to hear their conversations, as if we can't hear every word.

I agree with You, in this matter, but... Will give You one sample from my experience: Just to handle simple request from Interior Ministry, I must use on-line system... So, this is our life. Any way, we will talk around this site, hope that we can share our experience in Philately. best regards Miloje

I don't follow superheroes, but I suspect that Hrvatko and his sinister arm candy aren't from the brain of Stan Lee. Can anybody tell me the story behind this stamp? Maybe some ironic pop-culture meme that Croats know about but I don't? Thanks.

eggdog , search HRVATKO using google images and you will see a lot of information. It looks like the two "superheroes" were created as marketing devices to encourage savings and postal savings.

Croatian post has its own bank, so this is just a marketing ploy (HPB on stamp is short for Hrvatska Poštanska Banka or Croatian Post Bank) I don't follow superheroes, but I suspect that Hrvatko and his sinister arm candy aren't from the brain of Stan Lee. Can anybody tell me the story behind this stamp? Maybe some ironic pop-culture meme that Croats know about but I don't? Thanks.

Thanks to both of you; I appreciate it! No, I didn't search-engine it; I can get in over my head real quick trying to decipher popular culture and its images. Trying to find out something about some 16th-century Dalmatian artist is easy by comparison.

Recently acquired amongst a large collection. Croatia is not a country I know a lot about when it comes to stamps. This is what I found from a google search; Croatian Storm Division Stamps On 10 April 1944, a set of three postal values commemorating the Ustaša Militia "Black Legion" were issued. Pictured in the anniversary sheet is the notorious Black Legion leader Major Jure Francetic, who is wearing the black Ustaša uniform (first scan). Not sure about the rarity of the sheets, which have some faults. Graham

What I collect: I collect world wide up to 1965 with several specialty albums added due to volume of material I have acquired. At this point I am focused on Canada and British America. I am always on the lookout for stamps and covers with postmarks from communities in Queens County, Nova Scotia. I do list various goods including stamps occasionally on eBay as hdm50

Based on sold results on eBay Graham these interesting sheets are not so rare. Others must have had condition issues as well as it appears others have cut them down and sold pieces.

Hello everyone after a long time! I am putting together a collection of Croatia from WWII period and I would like to publish all the "special stuff" I have (errors, color trials etc.), so I would like to know if there are any wishes or stamps that you are particularly interested in. Talk to you soon!

Nothing of great monetary value here... First for this stamp This is stamp for military parcels (two kilograms). In Rommerskirchen catalogue number of issued stamps is 100.000. Croatian catalogue (Strpić) values it at 10HRK (about 1.5 EUR). Michel nuber 2 (at militar(feldpost) marken) valued at 3,2 eur. Same stamp with "Feldpost" overprint is valued at 220HRK (Strpić catalogue) or about 30 EUR. Now this stamp: Same category in catalogue, but for parcels up to 1 kilogram, Michel no 1 valued at 5 EUR, Strpić at 15HRK or about 2 EUR. This green one is from Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes. I've never seen one and I can't see any numerical value on it so it must be some kind of cindarella
