Hi, Nick here, living in Hertfordshire, UK. I left stamp collecting in the 80s when I left secondary school but got interested in prophecies about what would happen to the "lost" 10 tribes of Israel, how they became Celts, Scythians, Parthians, and later Anglo-Saxons, Jutes, Danes, Vikings etc who formed the nations of Western Europe and beyond. Some people were using coins to demonstrate heraldry but I remembered how stamps show how a nation wants to think about and promote itself, the heritage and other things it wants to celebrate, and how this is a much cheaper and diverse source. While buying I picked up various other attractive stuff that dealers and private individuals were selling and have since one some selling myself. I am a regular at the East Horsley fair, 3rd Thursday of the month, 12-3.30pm.
