I'm trying to find some information about this stamp. I can't seem to find it listed in Scott's or the Unitrade specialized catalogue. Can anyone help?  |

What I collect: I collect world wide up to 1965 with several specialty albums added due to volume of material I have acquired. At this point I am focused on Canada and British America. I am always on the lookout for stamps and covers with postmarks from communities in Queens County, Nova Scotia. I do list various goods including stamps occasionally on eBay as hdm50

TimG Your stamp is a revenue stamp and requires a specialized catalogue such as one by E.S.J. Van Dam. It was issued in 1935 and is a bilingual customs duty stamp with a rather low catalogue value.

FDI I am using a found 1987 catalog and I see the value has not changed for the 1 cent by 2009. I am keeping my eyes open for one a few decades newer to get a better idea on values on rarer revenues.

hdm 1950 values on rarer revenues are solid meaning they regularly trade above 50% catalog or more.It is a slow process to amass a good collection unless your wallets fat
