Just a couple of "heads ups" for those buying from Ebay, a few pointers.
1. Be wary of job lots of say 300 Romanian for $3-$4 etc The trick is (sometimes) You may get 5-10 sets, ALL short, ALL missing the high value, result, you have to buy the set again, high values are rarely sold individually. Best to buy full sets, CTO or mint, or see full set on a page prior to purchase.
2. Only buy Miniature sheets with solid, wide borders. The trick is, remove sheet from FDC, and trim off the tiny hit where the postmark has hit the sheet evidenced by wonky, or bevelled edges of the MS.
3. Be wary of "Varieties" any miniscule speck of ink, out of place is referred to as a Variety ( expect 400% of face value) "Shifted print, is often only shifted perforations.

Romania 2010 15th October Henri Coanda Jet Flight 1910 Designer : Mihai Vamasescu (MV) 14.5 Lei Issued : 15,000 miniature sheets (Thanks to romaniastamps.com) Sc 5213 CV : $8.50 (I would expect to see this rise) Ever the innovator, Romania has produced a strange perf pattern on the stamp, (Block Perf) and included a circular divorced perforated tab.

Here's a minisheet from Romania commemorating the skeleton event at the 2010 Olympic Winter Games. Romania did have a qualifier at this event, Maria Mazilu. She finished last, but she finished! Her runs varied from "not very good" to "barely made it down", like this one. Ryan

Nice MS Ryan, not seen that one before. Unfortunately could not see her run, my wireless was continually buffering Will catch it later. Good on her, I like those who try, remember Eddie the Eagle?

Romania 2010 15th October Henri Coanda Jet Flight 1910 That's lovely! "Future Cinderella"? Doubtful Zuzu, at a low 15,000 emissions, and CV currently at $8, very remote if many are seen on cover, and others damaged by separation. Today with so many "marker monkeys" it is high risk to send covers with expensive miniature sheets. No doubt some will join the failure rate, and maybe a little disk will appear at the back of someone's album In 50 years, someone on a forum somewhere will ask, "What's this"?

Nearing the end of the Classic Period (1940) The most difficult has been the 1865-1908 stamps, a mind boggling matrix of papers and perforations, still uncompleted.

The "DAGUIN" Postmarks of Romania wiki The Daguin machine was one of the first cancelling machines used by the French postal administration. It was created by Eugène Daguin (1849-1888). Its first official use took place in June 1884 in Paris. It could cancel three thousand covers per hour. Two datestamps were printed in one move by the postal clerk: the first cancelled the postage stamp and the second was a readable proof of date on the cover. Until 1949, the datestamp centers were 28 millimeters away from one another. In the 1900s, more efficient machines replaced the Daguin. But it came back to service in the 1920s: the second datestamp was replaced by a commercial message inscribed in a round cornered quadrilateral. The official retirement of the Daguin machines was declared in the 1960s, with some exceptional use until the 1970s. Philatelists discovered and studied the machine and its twin cancellations in the 1950s. Romania Daguin Postmark Type 1, St Andrews Cross Fleuron GALATI

Thanks Ryan, but really, not so spectacular, as it may at first seem, It took some patience, and a dash of luck, if memory serves paid $64 (once again 25% of cat, by accident) my budget of $25 or so per week, was severely dented at the time, so I went cycling for weeks after without looking at auctions. Froggie will attest the power of tease by his recent foray into SPM Last week I bought a particular Romanian set, CV of $1,100 for $85 I have no idea if they are genuine as yet, Romania is frought with Forgeries, but will interesting when they arrive. Meanwhile, budget is fractured so back to penny lots, for three weeks. PS: there is some philatelic ledgerdemaine here also, That CV is for mint unhinged, mine are lightly hinged, therein lies a biggie for the gum fanatics. so one has to assume "used" CV values. also, Philately always has some reassurance bouyancy, if one observes reasonable husbandry of the collection, one always assumes in cases of emergency, you will get your money back, or close to it. PPS: I would be remiss, in not acknowledging Jack (The Administrator here) he originally drew my attention to the lot, eternally grateful.
