I’ve printed the Basic album from Robin Harris’s Adminware site, but I really think I’d like to go a little deeper with the Machins. My level of interest probably falls somewhere between the Novice and Intermediate album options offered by Harris. Would someone using Steiner’s pages mind taking a look at the comparison chart at the bottom of that Adminware page and giving me an idea of how Steiner’s Machin pages might compare to Harris’s? Also, it appears that Steiner has a set of pages for the Great Britain Machins, but what about the regional issues? For example, are Northern Ireland Machins grouped together so that I can print pages just for those? I have a general question as well: can the Steiner pages be printed with the “boxed” information above or below the box rather than inside the box? I’m also aware that Stamp-Collector.co.uk offers several printable albums, such as this one that follows the Stanley Gibbons Concise Catalogue. The description refers to an album comparison chart, but I could not find one on the site. It appears that the regional Machins are not included in this album but in a separate album of regional definitives.

The Steiner album pages are done using The Scott Standard Catalogue. Whatever machins you see in that catalogue will be what Bill Steiner has on his pages.

Zuzu, shoot me an appropriate email address, and I'll send you an example copy of Mr. Steiner's Regional Machins.
If you use Scott, as Andy says, the Steiner's pages follow seamlessly. Information is used niggardly, but I like that, some is confusing, like a Motorcyclist under "Athletics" Information cannot be moved For the information he supplies, a downright bargain in my view, he gets a big tick.
A must for the worldwide collector, for the specialist, well maybe not.

Thanks, Rod. I've been considering the Steiner pages, but I'm not sure that I'm "there" yet. I don't know that I have enough WW stuff yet to worry about album pages. The Machin pages might push me to just go ahead and do it.

I just downloaded the adminware free pages. It looks good for a start, but doesn’t include too much. I’d probably want the whole shebang & I’ll probably print it B&W instead of full colour. I think I’ll leave all the Regionals behind. Those just add so much more to the mix!
Has anyone bought any of his album pages? Or is there something else that may be better?
TIA!

I have done same as you, brightonpete. Printed the free pages in black and white. I know I do not have the time nor patience to collect all varieties. Just now need to mount them. Here is a website I discovered that might be of use for you. He is a retailer but seems to have lots of images of many varieties hampsteadcastle.co.uk/Once I get mine on they pages, I think I will purchase from him to fill in the “holes”. have fun sorting . On first checking that site, it looks very good. Look at all the papers! Good grief! I have a LOT of holes to fill, especially if I get the whole thing! Thanks, dgdecker

For another alternative you could take a look at the free 97 page "Great Britain Denominated Machins" album created by Dennis Wallick. He is currently working on a matching NVI companion album. Although the album does not included images, it has a space for each major variety listed in Stanley Gibbons (concise) and Scott.
The album can be downloaded here as a ready to print PDF or as an AlbumEasy text file which can be fully customized. Clive

For all you Machin fans out there, if you are really intent on a full in depth collection the ultimate in refernce work can be found here:- www.connoisseurcatalogue.net/I had hesitated to mention it because it is very, very detailed and can put people of with the complexity. They do have an album to go with their catalogue:- www.connoisseurcatalogue.net/album.htmHope it is of some use
