ISRAELI couldn't find a thread for these so will start this one until such a time I stand corrected !! Or I may move it elsewhere ! Rather than put these in individual countries, I thought it better to let them go it alone, as I believe there are many collectors of such items. They are not in my collecting interests but for the purpose of this thread I will show a few of the Israel types and whatever else I have another time. In Israel all types of these labels are popular, many are scarce or rare and are much sought after, especially the earlier ones. There is a book too but I have not been able to find a copy up to now. There are 4 main types, not including the most recent issues, about which I do not have any information to hand. as far as I can ascertain, all machines dispensed pre-set values. The first ATM labels were dispensed from a Swiss Frama Machine in 1988 [17th Nov] in values of 40,60 and 70 Agorot. All 'Framas' exist on plain white paper except the example shown here which was available only at the 'Israel 98' International Exhibition and from the Philatelic Service. German Klussendorf machines were introduced from May 1990 and were in use until January 1999. They used the same pre-set values as the Framas. 'sets' of labels [all values] were called Tariffed sets as they paid a particular weight and journey. Occasionally, non-tariff sets were issued whereby different designs of the same value were offered for collectors, special occasions or covers. Blank 'values' can also be found. Below are sets of Tariff and Non-Tariff Klussendorfs. Christmas 1996, Tariff Tourism, 1993. Non-Tariff Below is another Tariff set from the tourism issue, showing Haifa with the gold-domed Bah'ai shrine in the foreground. Varieties exist on many issues, of design, size and Phosphor layout. Some are very scarce. If my memory serves me well, the Frama and Klussendorf machines stood alongside each other during the 'Israel 98' Exhibition. We've seen the Frama so........... More to come.......

ISRAEL [Continued]. Masad or Maor ATM labels. These were dispensed by the Postal Teller and for any value. Tariffed sets also exist for some issues. There are many types and I do not have examples of them all. Computerized Post Office Labels. 1991- Regular and Registered. 1993- Israel-Rumania Stamp Exhibition [My first Exhibition in Israel ! ] Here's a sheet of 10 especially prepared for 'Jerusalem 2006'. Tete-Beche Edit: The labels above were erringly placed by me in this topic but as I knew (doh!) and others will now they are NOT strictly ATM labels. Having said that they are often placed in that category in lists and dealers lots. Sima or Doarmat ATM's. New machines were introduced in 2004 [Sima] and these dispensed Self-Adhesive labels with Kiss Die-Cut 'margins' at left and right which left the label with straight corners once affixed to the envelope. These were/are lovingly called Doarmat Labels in Israel !! Below are two examples in Tariffed sets, the first from 'Telabul 2004' and the latter commemorating the 800th Death anniversary of Maimonides. Next up, Christmas Greetings ! Londonbus1

ISRAEL [Continued] MERRY CHRISTMAS ! Israel being a Jewish Nation do not celebrate Christmas as a whole and there are no Christmas Stamps. But due to the influx of Christians and Russian Orthodox as well as tourists, Israel [from 1992] has issued an ATM label. Those shown below are the first 4 years, single examples of each [1 design for each year]. After 2004, they were from the Sima machines. They are rather nice designs. So from Israel, that's about all for now. I will add any others I find or come across but these are all I have in my albums. They will all be going up for sale soon. If anyone wishes to see more, here is a good list [though not complete]. www.ateeme.net/anglesw/aisrael_am.htmAs I said before....have a very Happy Chrismas !! 1992-1995 not in any particular order !! If this is in the wrong place, feel free to move as needed. This atm is from France dated 1/2/2000. It is denominated at (I guess) 1 fr or .15 euros. I don't collect these, but it was in an album I picked up several months ago.

Then, an issue for Mare Balticum (The Baltic Sea) 1995 Stamp Exhibition. It is the only ATM issued in West Berlin on May 4, 1987. I have two sets of values 10 at 300 Pf and 5 at 145 Pf with Berlin 12 souvenir cancel dated 04.05.1987. I couldn't understand the explanations in Michel's catalog: Erstagg OA (were there other issues in 1989 and 1991?), at series 10 at 300 Pf what is the difference between TS1 and VS1 ?. I need German collectors (or German speakers) to understand the translations. Could other values be used or only those in the series? Thanks for any help.

Automaten-Tastensatze (TS) means automatic keypad sets (sometimes referred to as button sets). That is, these are the stamps available by pressing the buttons on the Klussendorf machines shown earlier in the catalogue (maybe pages 12 and 13 in your catalogue). 14 buttons so 14 different values. Versandstellan-Satze (VS) means Dispatch or shipping point sets. I'm not 100% sure, but this probably means that these values were only available from the post office counter. In 1989 and 1991, there must have been postage rate increases and the buttons changed accordingly as shown in the catalogue. I don't think it was possible to obtain any other values although this was possible in countries using Frama machines. Hope this helps, Daniel

daniel, thanks for the explanations. I searched Klussendorf and found this device. There are 14 keys (see red arrow) corresponding to the 14 setpoints. I couldn't understand the difference between TS1 and VS1. My first set of 14 stamps is Mi 1TS1 or Mi 1VS1?

gstampsso called "Tastensätze" TS are directly from a stamp automat like Klussendorf so called "Versandstellensätze" VS are usually from a stamp-subscription and were sent to the stamp collector by Deutsche Post AG (mint or with postmark, the collector is free to decide what he wants) for completion: so called "Automaten-Restwertsätze" RS are stamps you receive instead of money (e.g. you need a 60 Pf stamp, you put 1 DM into the automat, you receive the 60 Pf stamp and a 40 pf stamp instead of 40 pf in coins); do not asked me how to differentiate these stamps your stamps are VS. cara

Switzerland is the name, Swiss the adjective, is it? There was 1 more issue in 2008 depicting the Saint Peter's Square Colonnade available with two different numerical fonts. I'll show the first set later. Yes, in response to your Switzerland/Swiss question 😁

Ireland issued the first ATM-labels in an experimental trial in 1990. Just three machines:
upper Frama machine in Dublin middle Amiel machine in Cork lower Klüssendorf in Limerik The labels were sold for about seven months only. However the Philatelic Service in Dublin provided sets of 5 labels (26,30,34,41,50 P.) to collectors.

On April 6th,1992 An Post (irish post office) issued their 4th ATM-label. This ran for about seven years till 1999. The philatelic service sold a stock-card with one label from each of the ten Frama-machines, installed in Ireland. There were no more ATM-labels for nearly ten years till 2008.
