Courvoisier Proofs It was rare for stamp printer Courvoisier in Switzerland to give out proof stamps. They would usually supply actual finished stamps instead. I recently purchased a handful of sample booklets that they had produced and only this one contained a pair of imperforate proofs annotated A and B. The final stamp, SG 1402 issued in1977 Straw Hat by N Lytras, would be re-denominated 11 drachmas. I cannot determine the difference between the two shown here.

danielI don't notice any difference either. Possibly different printing methods (offset/photogravure?)...noticeable only in higher resolutions.

rather colourful aren't they - I have some from the first and second series - very attractive and remind me of the similar Spanish series.

Could I please ask if there is any value in any of these?
They came with some other stamps and I have no interest in them, so they either go in my charity box or go for a charity sale/giveaway here.
I've read that the overprints are actually bogus?

michael, all the stamps overprinted Paxo (Paxos), Cerigo (Kythera) and Santa Maura (Lefkas) are bogus. They were made by an italian stamp dealer. So they have no value, but still some of the document he fabricated with the compliance of some italian soldiers are nice. When I found one, I keep it as an "historical curiosity". The charity stamps with misperforation are real stamps and have some value. I have seen a band of four with a similar misperf offered for 80 Euros in an auction (Van Looy & Van Looy)

renden I just realize that you are from Canada. Shipping cost to Europe will be more important than the value of the stamps. So if you start a giveaway, may be limit it to members from north America.

I have never limited a giveaway to Canada only. Shipping US/Int'l is not that much more and at this stage I know the value of the Greece stamps will be worth more Thanks for trying to help René
