King Edward VII £1 Reproduction I assume this was issued for a philatelic exhibition. As far as I am aware, these are not Exhibition-related. But there are many similar reproductions out there like this, both good and bad quality, with and without gum. A fun aside to any collection.

Anglo-American Exhibition, London 1914
I think someone was trying to save on design costs in 1914. Note the similarities to the 1908 Franco-British Exhibition stamp.

I don,t collect GB cinderellas but I found these at a stamp show in Derby on my last trip.I have always been interested in railways and these are very nice poster stamps publicising English seaside resorts. Full size posters can often be found at the various railway museums scattered around England.

The sheet below can be found also in the Philatelic Exhibitions-Great Britain topic so why am I showing it again here ? Not connected to any Stamp exhibition are the three labels shown perforated, the same labels taken from the exhibition sheet. They are completely bogus ! Someone having a bit of fun or a perforation experiment ? Possibly. But we may never know. So here they are, for better or worse. The labels show suggested designs for a Great Britain air mail stamp which never materialized !

On page 1 of this topic, going back almost 6 years, I posted a few WW1 Poster Stamps that were part of a booklet of 10. Since then I have searched for the other designs or even a Booklet but I have been outbid on singles and on those very few occasions I spotted the booklet, it was just out of my price range !! But I managed recently to pick up 4 more singles and these are shown below. I just adore them so please forgive my ramblings !! Londonbus1

Britain issued a set of postage stamps for this event but these Cinderellas were produced by 'On-My-Way Stamps' and were designed by Vick Henderson and illustrated by Margaret Bartlet. The second scan shows the attached large tag folded over so as to fit the main sheet on my scanner! Festival of Britain by Daniel, on Flickr Festival of Britain flap and reverse by Daniel, on Flickr

Lewis Carroll, real name Charles Dodgson. Writer of the famous Children's Stories Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass. Studied and taught at Christ Church, Oxford where he lived most of his life. The items below commemorate the 150th Birth Anniversary of Carroll and are the work of Gerald King, famous for his fantasy stamps, many of which can be seen on the Cinderella board .

The Trustee Savings Banks have been around in the UK since 1810. Their assets in 1950 reached One Thousand Million Pounds and to celebrate the event had these Commemorative labels produced. The central Logo/seal has been widely used in this and other forms on signs, money boxes, Bank books, coins and medals to name but a few. The block shown here are perfinned 'SPECIMEN' in an arc.

I never knew how popular these were until this evening. Now I know why I was outbid on most of the others !! Duckworth & Co (Essences) Limited have been trading as Cargill Flavour Systems (UK) Limited since 2006 but still have a working factory in Old Trafford, Manchester in North-West England. The Food Flavouring & Essence Company have been making Sodas and their own labels since the early part of the 20th Century. More thirst-quenching labels can be seen here until I pluck up the courage to bid higher !! www.google.co.il/search?source=univ&tbm=isch&q=Duckworth+%26Co+Essences+Limited,+manchester&safe=strict&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwjl1NCTv_3rAhWuRxUIHYSBCDsQjJkEegQIChAB&biw=1098&bih=475 ( I was going to put these in the Oranges thread posted by JeffS but didn't want to add lemons and limes to the cocktail. Maybe he would consider changing the title ?)

British Empire Exhibition 1924-25. Aside from labels produced by Lloyds Bank, nothing else has been shown from these two Exhibitions which proved to be very popular with the British public at the time. Also, worldwide participation was huge with buildings and pavilions built-for and used by a many Empire Nations. Below is a series issued specifically for 1925. Designed by F. Gregory Brown (1887-1941) and drawn very much in his style, they might well depict scenes from the Exhibition, or at the very least in part. Brown won a Gold medal at a Paris Design Exhibition in the same year. There are 8 designs and under the design, as in labels produced for the event in 1924, there are inscriptions. 8 different inscriptions have been seen according to the Handbook by Alan D. Sabey which goes on to assume that there are 64 different combinations of labels to collect, which may well be the case. The BEE would make for a fascinating topic on it's own when coupled with the various labels from 1924 and items of ephemera. Here are just a few from 1925. Whilst here, a small selection from 1924-25 some of which have been seen elsewhere. My favourites ! These appeared in Vol.4 No.2 of the Newsletter but let's have them here too ! tsfimagehost.net/TSFNews/V4.2.pdfYou can read about them there. Londonbus1

I'm pretty sure there are not too many (if any) other Cinderellas with a Chelmsford, Essex connection. So it was with a big smile that I found this one produced for the Chelmsford & Essex Building Society. No other info found and probably not likely to be so. The Society were amalgamated with the Bristol & West BS in 1971, the latter being purchased by the Bank of Ireland in 1996. Anyway, it brought back memories of my youth as Family had some savings there and I remember the office in Duke Street and the occasional visit with my parents. Now I am definitely homesick !

Londonbus1 I had long thought that these Poster stamps were the work of British Artist Mabel Lucie Attwell as the designs are so similar to some of her postcards, some of which I collect whilst at Antique or other fairs. I have just been having a rare look through one or two Card and cover albums which have long been neglected and what should I come across ? Yes, the exact same postcard design as one of the Poster stamps !!! And there was I on and off searching for an answer....and it was right under my nose. Fred K.Spurgin was born in Russia (Latvia) in 1882 and came to Britain in 1900 where he made his name as an illustrator and Postcard designer. His designs especially during WWI were of great interest and very popular. it is easy to see why. jefkelief.blogspot.com/2016/07/fred-spurgin.htmlProblem solved......but now more to collect !! Yes, they were a gift of my friend. He, even didn't know that there were cinderellas, no stamps (more interesting than most modern stamps). Sorry, they were the only two. But, yes, they're nice!

Not sure if these have been listed but here goes anyway, In the 1860s -1870s there was agitation in Britain for cheaper postage than 1d on commercial printed circulars and a Company was set up offering low rate city delivery in various major GB cities , The Local Circular delivery Co produced stamps for this service in Liverpool Edinburgh , Glasgow and Aberdeen amongst others. It evidently worked ! The GPO closed them down pretty quickly because they infringed the Post Office Monopoly but by 1870 they had introduced the Halfpenny rate postcard !

Here are a couple more items produced for the Prince of Wales's Hospital Fund in 1897. Firstly, we have a special sheet produced to display the 2 stamps, unfortunately cut down to fit the page. The reverse of the sheet is also shown. Then there is a special display frame for the stamps produced by Walter Jones of Sloane Street, London. Others exist. rex , no real answer to this query. I, too, have seen it before and may even have one somewhere. From the second image (which, by the way, was from the Stamp Magazine Forum as a query and also resulted in a lack of identification) it would appear to be a promotional Christmas Cinderella for an identified business.
