I am aware his title pages are now for sale, I have no idea where to source though, you shall have to Google. Bileski was tied up with Mr. Szyk apparently, so Canada may be fruitful, The image author is unknown, so you are welcome to share. I have several Szyk cinderellas, one from TSF moderator ILS, being the Brit / American ambulance cinderella, and some ANZAC friendship group, as I recall. He drew some exquisitly colourful stamp designs for Liberia, some not accepted.

I must admit that I had never heard of Arthur Szyk until I read firstfrog's post in a different thread. When I went to bed last night this thread had a single post -- now it seems that I was the only one on the forum who had never heard of Szyk! For those who may be interested in learning more about the artist and his work, the Arthur Szyk Society website has a number of examples (the link takes you to the section on stamp design).

No, Steve, you were not alone -- I had never heard of him either until the first post here. And now so glad that I have learned about him. Thanks for your link to the stamps section of that website!

And the Stampgeezer makes 4. I looked on Ebay for his material under stamps, hoping that he did something on Zeppelins, but no luck. What he did do, though, is amazing!

Somewhere about 1947, Syzk received a major commission to produce The United Nations Series from Canadian entrepreneur and stamp connoisseur, Kasimir Bileski. Sadly, he was only to complete 10 before his death in 1951.

These works of art are simply awesome.
A pity he didn't finish it commission before his death. It would have been a great resource for WW collectors making their own albums.

I didn't know I had one of his title pages until I saw the post from barhata. Took me a moment to remember where I put it, but it's the Canada one. How cool is that? I will now treat it a lot more respectful.

Doe, I picked up the Israel print not long ago it was gifted to the LB1. As I recall the dealer had twenty or so on hand and couldn't move them. I do a search later of my EB purchases and message you the seller.
