In 1920, Amur Province in Siberia was occupied by the Bolsheviks on February 6. Blagoveshchensk was the capital. The following stamps were issued: Oddly listed in Scott as 42-46 under Far Eastern Republic The cancel on the 3r value is from the village of Peschano-Ozerskoye in Amur. Below is the portion of the cancel I can identify. It appears to be dated January, 1921

Great post BC ! Never seen those before, how I envy your skills at computer postmarks.
I think if I could do that ( I am aware of Postmasters primer) I would probably neglect my stamp collecting and spend my time on Pmks.

Rod, I faded the stamp with PostmasterGS's method in PaintShop X then imported the image into Autocad, and traced the postmark.

That's all I have are cancelled remainders ( in crayon). Apparently there are a lot more cancelled remainders then postmark used ones. Nice!
Is this area one of your collecting interests?

Jim all used classic stamps interest me, especially "dead" countries like Far Eastern Republic, Central Lithuania, Upper and Eastern Silesia, Danzig, etc.

Very nice used stamps, BC! Below is the information on this issue provided by Ivo Steyn in an article of the Rossica Journal: The Blagoveshchensk government recognized the authority of the Far Eastern Republic. This recognition was in conformity with the Soviet government's recognition of the FER as a transitional "buffer" state. If the date of the subsequent issue of the FER (the DVR overprints) is around late November - early December 1920, this leaves a brief interval of time for legitimate use of these stamps. This might explain the scarcity of used specimens. Here is some additional information regarding this matter, again from Ivo Steyn from an article in Post-Rider:

Thanks for posting that information Vasia. I just noticed on the 3 ruble stamp, the 3 in the top left corner is reversed. It is like this on the 4 copies I have. I wonder if it exists normal.
